Gina Odathuparambil

Gina Odathuparambil is the choreographer of Layam. Her ideas are the reason for the endless variety of dances. Already in her early childhood Gina discovered her fascination for dances. For her choreographies she gains her inspiration from any kind of dance.

In 1998 she won several prizes in different categories at a dance competition in Mainz-Wiesbaden and got the "Kala-thilagam".

Gina is 28 years old. She studied communications design at the University of Applied Science in Darmstadt.

Since October 2009 Gina works in a design company in Bangalore, India. She uses this opportunity to get some advanced training in the classical dance form Odissi. In 2011 she got intensive dance training by Sujatha Mohapatra during a one month trip to Orissa.
